The role and how you’ll be working
- Reporting into one of the co-founders, you will be responsible for managing product procurement and operations globally
- You will manage a direct report and will be responsible for building out the team over the next 6-12 months
- You will be focused on ensuring operational excellence across the business while also accelerating further international and channel growth
The role will include the following:
- Working directly with our co-founder to develop our operational strategy including international growth, channel expansion and supply-chain improvements.
- Building out the team to ensure we meet our strategic growth objectives
- Managing our global supply chain end to end (including forecasting, sourcing and freight distribution)
- Conducting ongoing demand and supply forecasting to drive buying plans.
- Leading negotiations with suppliers on product pricing, payment terms and SLAs
- Managing the supply of finished Sculpd products to our warehouses in the USA, Canada and the EU
- Analyse procurement spend to provide visibility on key savings opportunities and manage a roadmap for achieving savings targets.
- Analyse freight movement globally and use insights to drive efficiencies
- Identifying supply-chain risks and communicate resolution plans with senior management
A bit about you
- 4-6+ years experience in purchasing, demand & supply planning and operations
- Experience with global supply chains and growing an international businesses
- Experience in a fast moving, direct to consumer business
- An excellent team manager, able to deliver career development plans and manage upwards
- Highly numerate and comfortable using Excel to make commercial decisions based on data
- Organised and always consider the secondary implications of decision making
- Have brilliant communication skills and adept at communicating clearly with external suppliers
- Strong negotiating & supplier management skills
- Strategic and profit-driven
